Who are we?
What nice that you take the effort to get to know us! We are Safae (Umm Sarah) and Karim (Abu Sarah) and together we have been the power behind Islamitischekleding.nl and the Ummsarah Wear brand (USW Modest Fashion) since the year 2007.
An idea started to become reality in the year 2007. In that year we have taken a step to give modest clothing (Islamic clothing) a nice fashionable way in the world of Fashion. Because why modest clothing should not be beautiful and chic?
Together we want to change the view of covering clothing positive. Muslims do not walk into "tents", as is popularly called. Let us put the step to covering clothing in modest fresh colors and get off the cheaper fabrics. Because a Muslim ear earned this and by changing the aspects of color and dust choice, the look can change this.
We want to achieve this by initially unique our offer. Unique in color and dust choice. I, Safae, design the Ummsarah Wear collection completely yourself. After a design, the choice of dust follows after which an example is manufactured. For dust selection, aspects such as color, weight, hardness, weave and translucent and important role. This requires experience in substances and a good imagination of how a substance falls if it has become a piece of clothing. After approval a design goes into production. A piece of clothing undergoes various processes in which professionals are involved with a variety of specialties. Each item of clothing is checked for quality.
The result is initially a piece of clothing that you will not come across anywhere else. A Ummsarah Wear garment is unique. Each item of clothing is finished with fine modest details, buttons and zippers. Unlike the mainstream garments, our dresses have dimensions that are tailored to the target group. Our target group is the Muslims in Western Europe with very different origins and therefore also body shapes. Dutch Muslims are on average longer than Asian Muslims. We have taken this into account. Our items of clothing are made of substances from the average classes. Substances that are nice to be the body, are not too heavy, flexible and, among other things, not throughout through. But also fabrics with fun beautiful prints or in nice modest fresh colors.
This whole makes our collection unique from different facets, with the goal that you can feel proud of you as Muslims to run in modest unique clothing. Will we give modest clothing a respected place in the world of Fashion?
Abu Sarah:
I am Abu Sarah (Karim) and active in the background since 2007. I ensure that the administrative and webshop processes went well. In addition, I also ensure that the website works well and user-friendly functions. I find important that you as a customer can easily surf through our webshop and be satisfied with our service.
My dream is to build a company aimed at anyone who loves modest (covering) Islamic clothing. A webshop with a large assortment of clothing, accessories and excellent service for the whole family. My focus is mainly on the men's collection. I enjoy looking for Islamic clothing focused on men and boys. Clothing of good quality, nice fabrics but mainly carries fine. Clothing I would also like to wear.
Umm Sarah:
I am Umm Sarah (Safae) and the power behind the designs of the ladies' collection. On my 19th I consciously made the choice to wear the Hijaab. This created me the need for Islamic modest clothing. With my background fashion formation I quickly found that the offer was very limited in Western Europe. We were dependent on the designs from the Middle East that do not meet the needs in Western Europe. In addition to the designs, the sizes of the clothing from the Middle East do not match the average person. With my fashion background I felt the urge to fulfill this need.
At the beginning of 2007 I started designing and sewing specific garments on order. At the end of the year 2007, this resulted in the creation of the Islamitischekleding.nl webshop. The aim was and is still offering qualitative unique Islamic clothing for everyone. It soon turned out to be a success. In recent years I have learned a lot from my customers when it comes to styles and desirable sizes. With this knowledge I set up the Ummsarah Wear ™ brand in the year 2011. We have opened our own studio abroad with the brand where only us is sewn. We mainly offer Ummsarah Wear ™ through our own webshop Islamitischekleding.nl and a few points of sale in Europe. Ummsarah Wear is characterized by unique designs and a size chart focused on the Muslim in Western Europe. Ummsarah Wear ™ is the first fashion label in the Netherlands focused on Muslims.
Today we are an established Modest Fashion company with around 4 collections per year and clothing for the entire family. My dream is to fully provide the clothing needs of the Muslim. Young and old, ladies and gentlemen and descent. My passion is to stay close to faith and have fun in dressing. Every collection I try to do as diverse so that there is something fun for everyone.
I enjoy preparing and assembling the orders and contact with my customers. I do this with a lot of love. This love from I in the way of packaging the orders. Every order, small or large, must arrive like a gift from my dear customers. Only when you as a customer when opening your order gets a smile on your face, I have achieved my goal.
Waar staan wij voor?
Onze missie is om u te voorzien van kwalitatieve, unieke en ingetogen kleding waarbij klantenservice het hart van de organisatie is. In 2007 begon een idee werkelijkheid te worden. In dat jaar hebben we een stap gezet om ingetogen kleding op een leuke, modieuze manier een plek te geven in Nederland. Bedekkende en ingetogen kleding in mooie stoffen, kleuren en fijne afwerkingen en details. Kleding waar je je prettig bij voelt. Dit willen wij bereiken door ons aanbod in eerste instantie uniek te maken, maar tegelijkertijd te streven naar een gemiddelde tot zelfs hoge kwaliteit. Wij zijn een organisatie die het gehele traject van ontwerp tot verkoop in eigen huis uitvoert of ervoor zorgt dat partners realiseren wat wij wensen. beleef je deze reis met ons mee?
Onze ontwerpen zijn stuk voor stuk uniek en vind je nergens anders. Een kledingstuk van USW is uniek. Elk kledingstuk is afgewerkt met fijne ingetogen details, knopen en ritsen. In tegenstelling tot reguliere kleding hebben onze jurken maten die passen bij de doelgroep. Onze doelgroep zijn voornamelijk moslimvrouwen in West-Europa met zeer verschillende afkomsten en dus ook lichaamsvormen. Nederlandse moslimvrouwen zijn gemiddeld langer dan Aziatische moslimvrouwen. Daar hebben we rekening mee gehouden. Onze kledingstukken zijn gemaakt van middelzware stoffen. Onder andere stoffen die lekker zitten, niet te zwaar zijn, soepel vallen en niet transparant zijn. Maar ook stoffen met leuke mooie prints of in mooie ingetogen frisse kleuren. Dit maakt onze collectie in verschillende facetten uniek, met als doel dat jij als moslim(a) deze met het volste vertrouwen kunt dragen.
Ik ben Karim en verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van de webshop, processen en sourcing. Het is belangrijk dat u prettig kunt surfen op onze website. Mijn doel is om een organisatie te realiseren die zich richt op iedereen die van Modest Fashion houdt. Een webshop met een ruim assortiment aan kleding, accessoires en een uitstekende service. Mijn focus ligt vooral op de herencollectie. Ik zoek graag islamitische kleding gericht op heren en kinderen. Kleding van goede kwaliteit, fijne stoffen, maar vooral prettig om te dragen. Kleding die ik zelf zou willen dragen.
Ik ben Umm Sarah (Safae) en de kracht achter de ontwerpen van de damescollectie. Op mijn 19e heb ik er bewust voor gekozen om de hijab te dragen. Hierdoor ontstond bij mij behoefte aan islamitische bescheiden kleding (Modest Fashion). Met mijn achtergrond in modeontwerp kwam ik al snel tot de conclusie dat het aanbod van Modest Fashion in West-Europa zeer beperkt was. We waren afhankelijk van de ontwerpen uit het Midden-Oosten die pasten bij de behoeften/trends/cultuur van ons hier in West-Europa. Naast de ontwerpen komen de maten van de kleding uit het Midden-Oosten niet overeen met de gemiddelde Europeaan. In het westen zijn we gemiddeld langer. Met mijn modeachtergrond voelde ik de uitdaging om aan deze behoefte te voldoen. Begin 2007 ben ik begonnen met het ontwerpen en naaien van specifieke kledingstukken op bestelling. Dit resulteerde eind 2007 in de oprichting van de webshop islamickleding.nl. Het doel was en is om voor iedereen unieke islamitische kleding van hoge kwaliteit aan te bieden. Dit bleek al snel een succes. Ik heb door de jaren heen veel geleerd van mijn klanten als het gaat om stijlen en gewenste maten. Met deze kennis heb ik in het jaar 2011 het merk Ummsarah Wear™ (nu UsW Modest Fashion) opgericht. UsW Modest Fashion™ bieden wij voornamelijk aan via onze eigen webshop islamickleding.nl.UsW Modest Fashion kenmerkt zich door unieke designs en maten die passen bij de moslimvrouw in West-Europa. Ummsarah Wear™ is het eerste modelabel in Nederland gericht op moslims. Vandaag de dag zijn we een gevestigd Modest Fashion bedrijf met zo'n 4 collecties per jaar en kleding voor het hele gezin. Mijn droom is om volledig te voorzien in de kledingbehoefte van de moslim. Jong en oud, dames en heren en afkomst. Mijn passie is om dicht bij het geloof te blijven en te genieten van de kleding die ik draag. Ik probeer elke collectie zo divers mogelijk te maken zodat er voor ieder wat wils is. We genieten van het voorbereiden en samenstellen van de bestellingen en het contact met mijn klanten. Ik doe dit met heel veel liefde. Deze liefde spreek ik uit bij het inpakken van de bestellingen. Elke bestelling, klein of groot, zou als een geschenk aan mijn lieve klanten moeten aankomen. Pas als je als klant een glimlach op je gezicht krijgt bij het openen van je bestelling, heb ik mijn doel bereikt.
